The second edition of the Choctaw Ranches newsletter is scheduled for mid-February of next year. As all of us know, many operational activities occur at this time we could further discuss. Over the years, my experience and empirical data has led me to the opinion that the selection and purchase of sires is the most important operational activity we in ranching do, so we will spend some time discussing it. Furthermore, we want to give everyone a heads-up that we will be launching our freezer beef program (wholes, halves and quarters) in Q2 of 2023. Specifics will be included in the next newsletter. Additionally, we should have the adjusted beef cattle inventory for 2022 to give insight into projected cash markets for 2023.
